You know those things where people have dragon eggs or whatever, and you're supposed to click on them to make them hatch and grow?

Well this is the same thing, except with Pokemon. AND OH BOY DO I SUDDENLY SEE THE APPEAL. WTF. I might even try the dragon eggs, at this rate ::eyeroll::

But really, it's got all bright colours! And the collecting thing! And the random hope of getting one of those elusive shiny pokemon... The site is designed so you can find people's eggs to click on, and see who's clicked on yours to return the favour. Thus a never-ending cycle of clicking!

Actually to be honest this really reminds me of those animal behaviour experiments where researchers get rats and pigeons to tap a button or press a bar to get food or a treat or a jolt of electrical stimulation to the brain. HAHAHA. Well, it works for a reason, what can I say.

I think if the One Piece characters were pokemon, Luffy'd be an Aipom, Zoro'd be a Scyther, Nami'd be a Weavile, Usopp would be a Smeargle, Sanji'd be a Gallade, Chopper would be a Stantler, Robin would be an Absol, Franky'd be a Rhyperior and Brooke would be a Sableye.

I spent far, far too long trying to decide all of that.

Then I was irked that there were too many to make a standard team from.

The new arrivals (from heerosferret and pikachuashnat) are welcomed by some current residents!

Dammit. I thought it would be here, I had convinced myself that I'd just left it on my desk, and it would be among all the papers here at work when I got back this morning. No such luck.

How stupid is that, anyway. It's not just the wasted effort on my part and those who helped (breeding me my good-natured guys and someone gave me six (!) Leftovers), but it's like... even if I get a new cart I don't want to remake that team, because it wouldn't be them. It would just be another team with the same names faking it.

God I'm so lame.

On the plus side, January is get-paid-three-times month, so I guess I can afford a new copy.

I can't find my Diamond cart anywhere. THIS SUCKS. I hate these stupid tiny carts that are so easy to lose. It's not here, it's not at my father's...

My team, my lovely little Team Hungry. Oh, my boys and girls.

This is making me way too sad for a video game. I have a faint hope that the cartridge may be on my desk at work. Please be there!

I want to crazy-glue a tether to the damned things.

(In less angsty Pokemon news, my Fire Red team, which totally pwned its way through all the gyms, has totally smacked into the brick wall that is the E4. I hate grinding levels so damned much, I'm wondering if I should give up and export them to Pearl...)

Just over 47k! That makes me very happy. Mainly because the sudden realization that only 3k more words are need has struck home. Whoa.

Also, I scored Blastoise and Charizard zukan sets off of pkmncollectors. SWEET.

OMFG. Is it not the cutest thing in the entire universe?

My pokemon collection kind of exploded after loads of purchases, here's some of the highlights :D for anyone watching me who didn't think I was already a bit loopy...
