My husband and a few other people saw a couple hordies on our server "targeting" nothing and using offensive spells like smite/SW:Death on "it". Then they'd bend down to "loot" something, but there would be no body. It'd be like they were randomly shooting nothing and looting nothing. We saw this go on for about 30 minutes in wintergrasp. Does anyone seen this before? It was really weird. Hacks?

I was just watching the 2008 olympics, and it reminded me of a story. John and Rodney were divers, and they are really good friends, and they get together near the end I think. Sorry about the vague details. Am I just making it up?

Any suggestions?

Because it could seriously be a lost episode. Steed and Emma are both wonderfully in character, and the zany plot is very much in keeping with the series, engaging OC mastermind and all. Also, it is one of the best Avengers gen fics I've read to date -- the fandom is heavily shippy, so good, IC, just-like-the-show gen fic is rare. The thing I like most about this story, though, is the plot's progression. The story opens with a routine kidnapping and ends with...well, I won't spoil, but suffice to say it's far from routine, and thus perfectly Avengers.

Dear Writer,

Your post took up enough of my friends page that I had to scroll down repeatedly to see the whole thing. If you don't want to annoy all the people who have to read it, here's some advice:

Just get to the point, already!

I have hard, basic (~8) water in my tank. (Don't ask me how I managed to have very basic water within a nasty city's limits. I expected acidity.). Both GH and KH are hard, though since I have added the log to my tank a week or so back, the GH has dropped to a somewhat more manageable level. KH is still off the charts though.

I've heard that I can boil water to lower the hardness before adding it to my tank (well...boil water, let it cool overnight, add it the next day). I am going to try boiling up some water tonight while I make dinner, then adding it tomorrow afternoon (assuming this isn't a bad idea to begin with).

I need to lower my PH, though. Will the driftwood lower it over time? Already I think my water is more acidic, but it's hard to tell with the dip-strips I've been using. I need a more accurate test, but oh, monies.

Is there anything I can do to my water before adding it to change the PH, too?

I currently have 6 kuhlis and a bristlenose in my tank, with hopes to add celestial danios and zebrafish in the future, for what it's worth. Oh yeah, and two amazon swords, lots of drawf hairgrass, and some plant with leaves that turn reddish. And they're all riddles with holes (except the grass), despite new growth and the odd root trim by me. It's rather depressing.

The Avengers was a classic British spy series that ran from 1961-1969. Over those years, it evolved a lot, starting out as gritty and realistic and ending up as the campiest thing that ever camped, a treasure trove of absurd plots, witty banter and delightful innuendo (the latter two often went hand-in-hand). The one constant was Patrick Macnee, as John Steed.
